Challenge

Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF) serves donors across the Midlands of South Carolina, but its website hadn't kept pace with the breadth of its work. Individual donors, corporate partners, professional advisors, and nonprofits all needed different paths into the site, and CCCF's many initiatives — including signature programs like Midlands Gives — were scattered across the experience rather than presented as part of a cohesive whole. The Foundation needed a site that could clearly communicate the full range of what it offers while making it simple for each type of visitor to find their way to giving.

Solution

We rebuilt CCCF's website on a new CMS platform, giving the Foundation's team a modern, flexible system to manage content and initiatives without relying on outside developers. Alongside the platform migration, we redesigned the site's navigation around donor journeys — organizing the experience by who a visitor is and what they're trying to accomplish, rather than by internal department or program. This made it far easier to surface initiatives like Midlands Gives alongside core giving tools, grant resources, and scholarship information in a way that felt unified rather than fragmented.

Impact

Easier access to grant applications
Streamlined navigation and a clearer information architecture mean nonprofits can now find and complete grant applications with far less friction than before.

Positive community feedback
Donors, partners, and nonprofits have responded positively to the redesigned experience, reflecting a site that better represents CCCF's role in the Midlands.

A unified home for CCCF's initiatives
Programs like Midlands Gives now live within a cohesive donor experience instead of feeling like separate, disconnected efforts.
