Challenge

Families across Hawaiʻi needed a clear, trusted way to understand what early childhood services and supports were available from pregnancy through age five and how to access them. Information was often fragmented across multiple programs and agencies, requiring families to navigate complex systems and spend significant time to determine their eligibility.

Solution

We designed and developed FirstFiveHawaii.org as a centralized, family-friendly digital hub that simplifies how parents and caregivers navigate the state’s early childhood ecosystem. The experience features an intuitive eligibility screener that quickly identifies programs families may qualify for, removing guesswork and reducing search time. Clear pathways, multi-language translation and thoughtful UX design help families move forward with confidence.
